Here is an opportunity to try cottaging. A great lake and sweet, beautiful cottage await! KUSHOG LAKE
Those who water-ski have found the perfect lake. Kushog Lake is a 15 mile long lake, offering great long uninterrupted runs for water-skiers and wake boarders. Canoe and kayak enthusiasts will enjoy the often quiet water (a benefit resulting as the lake is relatively narrow.) Great fishing year round. There are two restaurants and a gas station on Kushog.

THE COTTAGE This four season lake-front cottage is perfect for those looking to get away and enjoy Ontario�s cottage country. Bright open rooms offer beautiful lake views through the extensive windows. The maple kitchen is new and opens onto the eating area. The breakfast bar is an ideal spot for coffee and the morning paper (available at either of the two local convenience stores, both 8 km away.) The screened in porch is attached to the kitchen offering bug-free dining and beautiful lake views. There are two decks � one attached to the cottage and one attached to the dock. There are two bedrooms - a generous master (complete with rocking chair) and a second bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. A pullout out couch in the living room brings the total capacity to 8.

Deep water off both docks is perfect for swimmers and docking your boat. (Two nearby launching options are easily accessible) A fire pit, picnic table, bar-b-que, paddle boat, and a sandy beach offer more options for outdoor enjoyment.
THE AREA
Kushog is located 5 kilometers west of Carnarvon (Intersection of Hwy 118 and 35). Nearby towns include Minden (15km) , Haliburton (30km), Dorset (35km), and Bracebridge (50km). There are numerous trails for hiking, biking and running. Nearby you will also find horseback riding, world class mountain biking, white water rafting (in Minden), golfing, and gems like the Haliburton Forest.
